Research Field: Absolute value of transition probability: light and neutrino in sky, solar corona and laboratory

Research Summary

My research is on the fundamental problems of quantum mechanics and field theory and their applications. Recent topic is to elucidate ” absolute value of transition probability ” starting from fundamental priciple of the quantum mechanics, and to solve contemporary problems or puzzling phe- nomena with them. Absolute value of transition probability is one of most important physical quantities of the quantum mechanics and is computed theoretically from normalized states. Suprizingly the absolute value has not been paid high attention so far compared to the ones of plane waves due to complexity of calculations. Standard formulae have been derived from the plane waves and represent a part of the transition probability. Still it has wide applications. Now a formalism for the absolute value did not exist in the literature, and has been developed by us from fundamental levels. Using the new formulae, we are studying further the derivations and applications of the transition probabilities in wide area of natural science.
Examples of puzzle: ” why is the solar corona hotter than the photosphere by fctor 1000 or more?” ”Why is the sky blue even at 10000 M?”.
